The best shampoo for hotel amenities

Hotel amenities are a basic feature in the whole stay. They have a central role in the hotel concept and, therefore, they should only include first-quality cosmetics.

Every accommodation should select the more appropriate hotel amenities, considering the location, the rank and the style. This choice directly affects customers’ satisfaction, since they expect good-quality hotel amenities that are coherent with the general style of the hotel

As for shampoo in particular, the choice isa particularly important. First of all, shampoo is one of the few cosmetics that could never be missing in any hotel amenities. In addition, customers will immediately understand its quality, from the very first use.

That’s why we advise to invest on first-quality shampoos. Every accommodation should take its time to examine the various alternatives and pick the most effective one for its specific needs.

Shampoo, bath foam & shower gel or shampoo & hair conditioner?

The first issue deal with the type of product. We can choose between a classic shampoo or a formulation enriched with bath foam or hair conditioner.

These are practical, handy and convenient solutions, butusually customers prefer hotel amenities that are wide and rich in cosmetics.

If the accommodation can afford it, it should offer cosmetics with specific formulations for the different use. So, one bottle of shampoo, one of bath foam, one of hair conditioner and possibly include a body lotion, an intimate cleanser, a bar soap and a disposable shower cup too.

The bath foam and shampoo and the shampoo and hair conditioner, on the other hand, are perfect for the courtesy box. The investment from the hotel is pretty modest and the customer, with just a few bottles, could try the whole line of cosmetics.

Just the right size

The point is: how much shampoo should we provide for each room? Everything depends on the regular clientele and the average stay. Every accommodation should consider its guests to find the best size to satisfy customers’ expectations with no waste.

Single and quad-rooms have different requirements, but it’s the length of the stay that makes the difference. Hotels working on weekly shifts should provide for a larger amount of shampoo than those where customers stay only a couple of nights.

Content the customers is the best strategy, but protecting the investment, avoiding unnecessary waste, is equally important. That’s why figuring up the best size according to the specific needs is a crucial step.

Formulations and cosmetic properties

As we said already, the hotel amenities should match with the hotel concept. The first thing to consider is the location

Hotel toiletries enriched with sea salt, for instance, are more appropriate for a resort by the sea rather than for a mountain cabin. The same goes for the hotel amenities enriched with medicinal plant extracts, ideal for farmhouses surrounded by nature, maybe less suitable for ultra-modern facilities in the city center.

The shampoo included in the hotel amenities should immediately communicate the accommodation’s identity. The perfume too is very important. Since it will accompany our guests, it should convey positive, pleasant feelings.

What’s more important, however, is the effect on the hair. Every shampoo has unique cosmetic properties, appropriate for different situations. Let’s consider again the resort by the sea. Saltiness weakens the hair, and only a restorative, nourishing shampoo can sooth irritations and cracking.

And don’t forget your little guests! Children need specific cosmetics for delicate skin. All the accommodations who work with families should supply some hotel amenities designed for children, with a gentle, emollient and soothing shampoo.

Packaging: how much does it matter?

As we have already discussed about the packaging of hotel amenities, choosing the right package is fundamental to convey to the customers the idea of attention, expertise and competence

The packaging of the shampoo should anticipate the identity and the characteristics of the product. To put it simply, we should understand the content from its outside. This choice should always be appropriate for the specific situation and reflect the style of the location.

The quality of the project, thought, should never change. Our guests should understand at first glance how much we have invested on the product, through its design, its graphic rendering and the attention to details.

In conclusion, we can assert that the perfect shampoo does not exist, because everything depends on the specific necessities. Every accommodation should find out which is the most suitable, considering the clientele, the stay, the location, the rank and all the other features.

Hotel amenities are determinant for the final evaluation. If we want to content our guests, investing on first-quality cosmetics is the right answer, no doubt!
