Lactoferricin is a cationic peptide with antimicrobial activity. It is able to bind to membrane phospholipids of bacteria, fungi and protozoa, creating irreversible structural damage. Several studies have shown that Lactoferricins are also active against viruses. The antiviral effect of Lactoferricin is to prevent fusion between host cell and virus. Chlorphenesin, on the other hand, is an agent with antifungal and antibacterial properties. In combination and in synergy with mild detergents, the antibacterial complex of Lactoferricin and Chlorphenesin makes our soap a valuable tool for easy and effective hand cleansing.
